I first began with web development as a project for my Master’s thesis. I was researching online communication processes for the Sierra Club of Oklahoma. In order to truly research the process, I had to theorize moving the group to a new web platform using WordPress. I had worked with HTML for several years and some with PHP. However, I was immersed in the inner-workings of both in order to develop a successful tool for the Sierra Club’s work. My work eventually spurred the local and national organizations to redevelop their websites utilizing my recommendations.
I have since become a daily user of WordPress, even freelancing with several local groups to create or recreate their websites.
